- A quick summation of the 101st Meeting of The World Mining Congress International Organizing Committee
The 101st Meeting of The World Mining Congress International Organizing Committee was held on December 11, 2020. This time it was held in a form of webinar , hosted by the Russian branch of the National Organizing Committee. From the organizational side, the event was prepared in great detail. The hosts organised two simultaneous interpreters who provided each participant access to the language version of their choice and instructional videos, that made it easier to understand the streaming platform's functions. The whole event was professionally prepared, ensuring the possibility of free dialogue. On behalf of the entire organization, I would like to thank all the participants who despite of challenging time differences between individual locations decided to participate in this meeting.
Over 48 attendees logged in, many decided to present reports on their activities and industries involved in sourcing raw materials. Additionally, it is noteworthy that we hosted the officials of institutions such as Deputy Director of the Department of Coordination of Scientific Organizations - Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, Representative of the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation.
The meeting lasted over four hours, during its second part the floor was given to the representatives of the National Organizing Committees, including Russia, China, India, the United States, Turkey, Austria and Poland.
The reassuring news is the fact that as an organization we continue to develop, during the 101st meeting of the World Mining Congress International Organizing Committee and we have enrolled new members who will be our ambassadors from now on.
During our meeting, the final arrangement was to hold the 102nd meeting of the World Mining Congress International Organizing Committee in the first quarter of 2021.
Many thanks to everyone for the presence and presentation of reports and the hosts for the excellent preparation of the 101st meeting of the World Mining Congress International Organizing Committee.
Chairman of World Mining Congress,
